In order that the spirit may ascend upwards, it needs to bring into the threads of its fate a movement filled with inner liveliness, which alone makes possible development in the recognising of the connections of Creation and also an ever more mature discrimination of all that is right from what is wrong

An ever clearer and stronger ability to distinguish right from wrong, and also an ardent clinging to harmonious vibration, is gained only through the mobility of the spirit

Just like every inhabitant of Creation, the human spirit too advances forward upon its path of development solely by moving through the unfolding of its abilities

And these abilities of the spirit lie in work of a spiritual kind, wherein man works far beyond the boundaries of his earthly influence

In his working this living mobility can then bring about, in the fulfilment of the Laws of God, reciprocal transformations both wonderful and blessed in all the forms to be found around him

If he works enduringly in a pure and clear attunement, everything around him will gradually change for the better

It is necessary to grasp this and to receive it with the spirit fully and to the depths, for hitherto there has been lacking the clear recognition that the beauty, or conversely the disfigurement, of all the forms around us in the whole of Subsequent Creation is the result of the weaving of the animistic weavers, who use the radiation issuing from the human spirit as the basic substance for the ordering of all space

We may say that the weavers must do so at the demand of the Will of God

This demand works upon them enduringly, so that they may fully accomplish the task for which they were called into life

Man needs to receive this recognition, that the weavers cannot do otherwise than take the radiation from the human spirit as part of the forming substance for the creating of the materialities, for they are compelled to this by the great Law of God

In the grasping of this lies a great depth, for then man becomes aware that all his outward intervening, together with all the technical capacities and skills to which he attaches such great importance today, is in reality nothing against that power of development which manifests in the weaving of the forms by the animistic weavers

Out of his radiation there are formed in return the events of a mighty development in the universe and in the whole world-part in Subsequent Creation

It may be said that precisely the greatest changes in the development of the earth can come about only along these paths

And for this weaving there is taken the radiation of the spiritual volition, which flows unceasingly and enduringly from the essence of the spirit

Nor can the human spirit resist this, for in this he too is subject to the Laws of necessary movement and of the attraction of homogeneity, out of which all forming arises, so that it manifests as the development of history

The ascent to the most glorious forms of blissful beauty and of happiness bringing blessing, as well as, conversely, the decline, the ugliness and the baseness which in the end bring destruction, all of this is the result of the radiation of the human spirit woven by the animistic weavers, the Vaenen and the Alphar, in Subsequent Creation

Through the fulfilment of the returning woven threads the history of mankind too has run its course for thousands of years, from the very beginning of the human race upon earth

Of whatever kind the spiritual radiation of the human spirits was, such was the development of all natural and cosmic events

In this respect the human spirit holds in his hands the development of many events which he is able to influence

Yet often in a way other than the men of today imagine in their attachment to the coarsest outcrop of materiality

History contains the imprint of every spirit that was ever permitted to be upon earth, no matter whether it was here perhaps but once, or whether for the sake of its development it returns often

Yet it influences the state upon earth also while in its soul covering in the spheres of the ethereal realms

That portion of radiation which was woven out of the kind of its volition always helped to shape not only its own path of development, but also the whole of life upon earth and upon one entire world-part of Subsequent Creation

Through the work of his spirit man can, and also should, be a giver of ascent to whole great sections of Subsequent Creation

The spiritual contribution towards ascent and happiness lies in the radiating of a pure and joyful kind of radiation, which on the part of the human spirit is maintained enduringly through his living movement in intuitive perception

Hitherto this has not been heeded with the necessary recognition and wisdom in the way that this grave connection of man with the development of the happening ought to be heeded

Man should at last make this entirely his own and, in a voluntary decision, fill this lawful happening with the pure radiation which is formed through the spiritual mobility of his inner being

Today this is already made easier for him by the complete knowledge which was given to him from the Light in the Grail Message

The question is whether this very knowledge is heeded by those who were permitted to come to know the knowing graciously bestowed upon them

Through this knowing man holds in his hands great power and also responsibility for many happenings

He should therefore take care that his motives always bear the purely radiant vibration of joy, as fresh and strengthening currents of power destined for the weaving of the threads through the hands of the Vaenen and the Alphar

Thus whether the human spirit finds itself here or in the beyond, radiant joy can always flow from it as building substance for the weavers, who out of it can form whole ethereal and gross material worlds

It can stand fully consciously in this spiritual work as a supporter and, in a certain sense, as a co-shaping preparer of the light-filled planes of Subsequent Creation

The mobility of the spirit is measured by the degree of enthusiasm which manifests inwardly and outwardly as a joyful affirmation of life in thankful glorification of the Creator

In order, then, that the world may change for the better in the right progression, there is needed for it the radiating of pure spiritual joy from as great a number of awakened men as possible

It is that liveliness of the spirit which manifests in the intuitive experiencing of the moments of the present and which with its pure power of victory penetrates into its own threads of fate, where in return it brings to the vividly radiating spirit the possibility of its further accelerated development under ever more blessed conditions

This living movement entering into the woven threads also makes possible an accelerated redemption of all that is past

Blessed are they who move and go forward, even at the price of occasional errors and mistakes in their development

The movement of pure and sincere intuitive volition, here in gross materiality also, is the foundation of life

In the use of it the spirit develops, for it is never perfect for absolutely every moment

The spirit should always take full part in everything that happens around it, and should act according to its purest motives

It may perhaps even bring with it blunders in the seeking of ways of expressing intuitive perception outwardly

The mobility within not seldom drives deep intuitive perceptions outwards in a manner and at a speed other than man himself often wishes

Much like the power of a moving car, which at the pressing of the accelerator races swiftly forward regardless of the conditions of the road

Only through experience does the driver gradually grow familiar with the car

It is just the same with the spiritual volition penetrating outwards into the visible expressions of earthman

One succeeds in it better, another needs more time for trying and repeating

The pure and guileless volition of the spirit not seldom comes up against the conditions which this earthly world offers it

Yet this is right and should be so, for it is the spice of life

Spiritual fermentation and ripening is all around

We meet men who are continually learning to know and to master their motives, in order to adapt them to the forms of the present earthly world

So it should be, the forms of the outer world need to be permeated by the deeper and noble intuitive perceptions of spiritual motives

Never should there be a suppressing of the pure inward which springs directly from the inner being of the spirit

The spirit should always strive for this, however far its maturity and awareness permit it to attain a certain degree of ennoblement in the expressions of the body

And here upon earth this ennoblement has not been attained by men even to a third of that to which it can grow

And that is why there are here so many occasions for the meeting of various degrees of spiritual personalities

Precisely through this polishing in the search for the outward expressions of intuitive perception the spirit itself grows stronger and ripens to maturity

And so in the conduct of men today there is as yet only a part of the outward art of uniting the motives of the inner being with the outer forms to be found

That is also why from the Light there are given here the forms of art and the beauty of many activities, which offer themselves as a means for the ennobling of this world

Yet in this the world still only stumbles and lags far behind where it ought already to be

Rather do we come upon ignorance and clumsiness in the expressing of one's motives, however honestly these may be meant within

It is therefore needful always to have a little more forbearance in judging outward deeds, for what matters each time is the purity of the fundamental volition

Here too the blessing of the Law of giving and taking holds good, especially with the grasping of the fact that voluntary giving is of greater worth than the receiving in return

If the giving is humble and sensitive to harmony, then it will always bring joy and uplifting thoughts from one's fellow men

Whoever learns this will in the end be uplifted by a great wisdom

It was once said by the Lord that men are not angels, nor should they aim merely at a mechanically outward perfection, but should above all experience fully with their spirit all that is afforded them here upon earth to taste

Yet that there may be balance in all things, let it be recalled that all erring in the recognising of development, in one's attitude towards life and towards other men, bears that good fruit in the end only if the spirit goes ever onward and ever forward with new resolve towards a better prospect of all that follows

Whoever, on the contrary, remains stubbornly stuck in what is wrong and does not admit the possibility of a change for the better causes harm not only to himself but also to others, who must then suffer with him through his own inability to progress forward

Out of this there are woven for him only threads which in the end he will one day have to lay aside in an awakened attitude of giving good to the world

Never will he be able to circumvent it, nor to push it aside, but solely in the experiencing which will return to him will he one day be able to lay it aside with understanding

The sooner he becomes aware of this and the more vividly he incorporates it into his way of life, the more freely and the more happily will it be given him to free himself from all that is past and to strive joyfully towards a new and more blessed fulfilling of the path to the Light

Upon his path to the Light the human spirit can arrive at nothing other than that he will voluntarily give out of himself to the world the radiance of his inward kindness and joy

To be a giver is the highest blessing for the spirit

It is a giving in an enduring attunement of pure radiance and joy

Every day should in this be an opportunity used to be able to advance a great stretch forward

The improvement of the state of the world lies in how individual men approach one another wherever it is made possible for them to weave together brighter and more radiant threads for a new world

He who pleads a lack of opportunities for expressing the kindness and joyfulness of his inner being is seeking to deceive himself, or else in his spiritual immobility he has already become entirely blind and deaf

The one is just as reprehensible as the other, since both bear witness only to the squandering of the immeasurable worth that lies in the possibility of being permitted to live upon this earth

The time of earthly life bestowed by the Creator makes it possible for the spirit in every moment of the present to ascend upwards in the expressing of its nobility, provided, of course, that this is to be found in it

Here there are ranged as if in a row one after another the opportunities which present themselves just as they have been woven by the weavers, so that through the experiencing of them man may move further on, or conversely, in failing, may prove that he still wanders astray in his as yet unclarified grasp of the worth of what was permitted to come to him

Even in the smallest there is to be found the great, which can then in a symbolic experiencing be laid aside like some heavy burden of fate out of the past of individual lives or of journeys in the beyond

Yet it can be laid aside only through the pure experiencing of the spirit, which longs to stand honourably and nobly before the Creator and His Laws and before its fellow men

And the experiencing of the spirit lies in that mobility which flows from the readiness always to be a giver of the joyful radiation of one's inner being

It requires only never to cease in movement, for only thus can the spirit maintain the inner capacity of radiating into the threads, which thereby move enduringly for him and thus bring the opportunity of laying aside past transgressions, and so of growing joyfully in an ever deeper recognition of the Laws of Creation

Whoever remains standing in one place in long-drawn hesitation or in fear of straying from the path, whoever has grown rigid in the mechanical repetition of all his ways of acting and of his rituals in the daily flow and supposes that he thereby holds fast to securities for ascent, is on the contrary regarded from the Light as one grown stiff, who has become the mere outline of himself, a shadow of his original liveliness

There is no greatness in it when a man's life upon earth becomes a round of days repeating themselves unto weariness

A half-dead condition is never that radiant life which is to be refreshed by the high goal of a spirit striving towards the Light

Yet far removed from this radiance is the lostness in which many live through their inner emptiness for whole long years upon this earth

The round brings with it a lulling sway, much as when a monotonous sound or movement in its long duration begins to drain away a man's strength

In the end his threads fall asleep and he too becomes spiritually asleep for a long time, or perhaps even for good

Such a falling asleep, however, means the same as the rotting of the seed in the soil

The seed will have to be cast out, because it has lost the will to germinate and to grow, and thereby through its immobility has in reality become dead

And the human spirit is a seed, it is a graft of a spark of God laid into the soil of Subsequent Creation, that it may here develop, grow and strengthen into a state of lastingly blissful consciousness

Movement is for it a necessary law for healthy development, just as it is with all other creatures in nature

In nature everything is subject to this movement, which we can observe as a summons to advance in development

Where there is no movement there is no development, but only slowing down, weakening and death

For how, for example, could a child ripen into full adulthood if, out of fear of possible injury in making mistakes, it did not try again and again to walk, to run, and later also to venture upon the most varied activities which it sees all around it in grown-ups

The spiritual inner being of man wants in its kindling to become full-valued, just as the spark, while still only the germ of a man, once intuitively sensed it in blissful living among the already perfected spirits in Paradise

Everything around man calls him to movement, for therein lies the possibility of attaining the summit of lasting existence in the Light

The movement spoken of is, in the case of man, first of all childlike joy, manifesting in an open will to the enthusiastic recognising of Creation

The way to this for the human spirit is the highest kindling to radiance of his inner being

The living mobility of the spirit is born within man and always penetrates from within outwards

If a man needs the reverse procedure for this, that is, the direction from without inwards, then in him the flame of the living spirit rejoicing in the gift of existence in Creation has in reality not yet been kindled

But herein lies precisely the great pitfall, for men no longer know what that living mobility within means

This pitfall shows itself at once when a man today longs to enter upon the conscious path of spiritual progress

However many methods men try today in which they seek impulses for setting the spirit in motion, as a rule they always end at work of the intellectual kind, and that which is in reality the mobility of the inner being runs literally through a man's fingers without his being able to become aware of it

Instead of the work of the spirit, the work of the intellect forces its way into the path and gradually weakens the pure enthusiasm of intuitive perception

Intellectuality also brings movement, but it is a movement which serves only itself within this part of Creation, and not the inner development for eternity

Intellectual movement is in Creation only a barren derivative of actual life

Without the participation of spiritual radiation every activity of man remains a mere shell without content

Alas, men simply will not see how the intellect cannot get further than the boundary of the earthly world

Everywhere further above this universe the intellect no longer exists, but the condition of further progress is solely that capacity which lies in the liveliness of intuitive sensing and experiencing within

The threads woven out of man's intellectual activity, too, end soon beyond the boundary of the beyond, in the thought-space of this part of the material universe

But for its further path the spirit needs threads of fate woven out of living fullness of intuitive perception, and only this way leads further into the planes of the finer worlds of Subsequent Creation

The fundamental and at the same time most precious contribution of the spirit to the threads which are woven for its further path upwards to the Light is solely the radiating of pure joy, in which that genuine inner mobility lies

This attunement of a joyful receptivity for Creation and of passing through life with full trust in the working of the Creator's Laws is that starting point for everything further which man can and should experience in life upon earth

At this point, however, nine out of ten of those who strive for the ascent of the spirit gradually come to grief

As men we can no longer do that which should be the most fundamental thing for us – enduringly to experience the simple joy of the consciousness of existence in Creation, transformed into a trusting Thanks to the Creator through this joy being radiated into the space wherever we happen to be

Blessed are they who live this every day and are permitted with their spirit to bathe in conscious connection with the Light

Most, however, prove again and again by their thinking, their conduct and their moodiness that they are, alas, far from it

They remain beneath the pall of intellectual pressure

Almost everywhere we come upon an intellectual aftertaste in human working

And this even there where man considers himself most spiritual, that is, in the moments when he speaks of God, of the Will of God and the Love of God and the Purity and Justice of God

Thus here upon earth we find for the most part only a substitute expression of movement, made by intellectual work instead of the living vibration of spiritual work

The earthly world of men has lost the habit of using the pure work of the spirit, which lies precisely in the radiating of pure accord with the whole of Creation into all the threads woven in the course of the day

True spiritual work here in this earthly world remains undervalued, for as a rule little outward recognition accrues to men from it

In reality, however, it is an immeasurably precious and valuable kind of activity from the viewpoint of the rest of Creation

It is indeed the most precious thing that the spirit in its movement can bring

In it lies the very existence of the spirit, for where there is no giving, there can be no receiving

Hence the stumbling hitherto in the recognising of clear vistas concerning Creation and concerning the Creator Himself

This comes about solely through the lack of will to be a giver before being a receiver

The giving lies precisely in the very kind of pure radiating of the inner attunement of joyful praise of God and of His Work

This living radiating leads man to an inward deepening and also to the courage to live his life fully in the ever new flowing of all that comes

Out of his hitherto lukewarm life there becomes a story with a true content of strong moments, out of which the spirit can only ever gain gifts for its further path

The greatness of all the ancient heroic tales lies precisely in that strongest part of the spiritual expression of giving oneself to others in such vibrations as the strong intuitive perceptions of goodness, of honour, of loving-kindness and also of trust in the victory of Good and of the Light over all baseness and evil

Most of all it is needful to bring to life upon this earth full trust in the Justice of God, which fulfils itself through the laws He has embodied in all happening in Creation

This is not possible without the spirit's own work, which needs to send forth this joyful trust of its own in radiation into the world around it

The pure joyful trust thus radiated is at once seized by the Vaenen, the weavers of the threads, and borne to all places where it can bring strengthening and success in the development of the paths of individuals and of the whole human world

This is that movement which needs to stand at the very beginning, which needs to precede all else, so that with its liveliness it may bring into all the woven threads a substance of the spiritual kind

Subsequent Creation was formed so that the human spirit might be permitted to bring into the space prepared by animistic creating the crown of the radiance of his joyful spirit

If Subsequent Creation lacks this kind of radiation of the pure and thankful trust of the human spirit for being permitted to be here, it hastens far more swiftly towards over-ripeness, for it lacks the fulfilment of the purpose for which it was formed

This Subsequent Creation needs as a necessary constituent that radiating of spiritual joyful thanks, as a condition given from the beginning for the completing of the cycle of all the forces working within it

And alas, precisely in this men have hitherto failed in a more than painful manner

Instead of the radiating of joyful spiritual substance for the hands of the Vaenen, there has been and still is woven by us men, for a very long time already, far too much gloom and suffering for there to be woven out of it a space filled with the blessed forms of health, beauty and happiness as gifts from the animistic for every man

Therefore not a moment longer should there be any hesitation, and from this hour onwards, with the resolute power of an all-overcoming volition, there should be begun the breaking off of every gloomy and pain-causing attunement of the individual man and of the whole of mankind, so that there may swiftly be woven a world which will vibrate purely in unison with the great Harmony of the whole of Creation, in which the Will of God through the Laws of Creation always works only towards the bliss and happiness of all the inhabitants

And the most important thing which the spirit of man needs to recognise and to grasp is the Law of movement, which unfolds out of his inward liveliness

In order that this inward movement may be used, it needs first to be discovered and experienced by man

This comes about best in inner calming and stillness, so that the thoughts of the intellect may in the end be left entirely aside

Stillness leading to the inner joyful radiance of the spirit is a help which everyone can use who longs to find himself in the recognition and grasping of the greatness of that neutral Power of God which streams around us continually

The thanks which is then born within should be sent forth as joyful substance for further weaving by the hands of the weavers, who will already know with certainty whither to lead this living and joyful radiation of thanks, so that it may become a blessing for the giver and for the rest of the world as well

Become givers of your luminous and pure spiritual radiation into the space of Creation

For this radiation the spirit always has at hand a superabundance of the luminous Power, to be worked over with joy and radiated further

There is never a condition in which this Power is not at hand for the spirit

It is always around him ready to stream, and even to grow stronger in the measure in which it is worked over by the inner being and radiated forth

This radiation, if it is passed on without conditions in the fervent sincerity of the spirit, is a substance which helps to shape this world so that it may be a more joyful place in the universe

And there is contained in it far more than man is able to imagine, for the courses of the threads which are born out of the purity and joyful trust of the spirit in the Wisdom of God reach into unimaginable distances of the worlds

Such a good-giving spirit may then expect that for him too a place is being woven which awaits him when he one day leaves this earthly world

That place which in its forms will exactly reflect the measure of beauty and radiance that was used as substance for the forming of a home which with every moment of the giving of good was able to become more certain and more distinct

Thus formed out of the pure substance of spiritual radiation, the home of the spirit awaits as a promised place in the spiritual Paradise, and the promise of entry in the form of a gate gleaming with gold, for everyone who in the living movement of his spirit gave occasion to weave only luminous threads for better worlds in Subsequent Creation

It awaits all those who, in understanding and in the joyful radiation of the spirit, have already upon this earth made their own the blessing which lies in the great Law of giving and taking
