And When Everything Falls

Now everything upon earth begins to shake in its foundations
All that stands wrongly crumbles and disintegrates under the influx of the power of the Light, so that it may either be regenerated in purification and in the finding again of the right path, or perish for ever
A great part of the world today will no longer stand under the effects of the approaching Ray of Parzival
The world of nature experiences all this in joyful quickening and under the protection of the high animistic ones walks to meet the liberating changes
The whole universe welcomes this time which at last brings the happening leading to the complete renewal of all life under the direct help of the Light
Beside all this the dealing of the men who live therein is the more strange
Let us but look at the world of men
Although all this unfolds directly before the gaze of every man upon this earth, many a one nevertheless strives convulsively to hold to the existing ways of dealing and to all the established forms of life
Although everything around the earth calls for liberation and for the finding of a pure direction, with the majority of men the intellect still triumphs in their deciding over the voice of the intuitive perception and of conscience
The intellect triumphs, for it is firmly rooted upon this earth
At the same time, however, this same intellect is driven by the pressure of the Light to yield up its fruits, so that it may manifest itself fully as a bad ruler and director of life upon earth and thereafter lose for ever its baneful influence
Mankind thus experiences the most stifling intellectual grip of all its hitherto stages of historical development upon earth
This condition is only the result of the spiritual lukewarmness in which men have lived upon earth for thousands of years and have thereby long made possible the upsurge of the thought-work of the intellect, which in the end had to weave this earthly world completely about and now does not permit mankind a more living penetration upward towards the Light in its spiritual striving
But for small exceptions, who struggled and still today struggle with all their powers for their own inner freedom, the greatest part of men remain stuck in a rigid manner of thinking which paralyses them in the movement of the spirit and hinders them in a clearer seeing
And this paralysis today, under the pressure of the Light, also draws itself ever more tightly like a noose around everyone, so that everywhere there, where the pure spiritual inner being is not made bright in full living vigilance, the intellect may subjugate the thinking of man completely, until the attaining of a state of dullness which makes of man an inwardly void puppet controllable from without
The rank intellect, before it wholly collapses together with all its falsely erected works upon this planet, will bring lukewarm mankind into a state of complete paralysis in its striving towards anything spiritually higher
The rank intellect holds itself to be the ruler, and therefore it forms for the majority of men a thought-form which disregards all the warnings which now come and bring the last impulses towards the awakening of the spirit
The man who is subject to the intellect, however, wills with all his powers to hold to the ingrained forms which from the earthly point of view he still holds to be sure and of which he supposes that they will further help him to live in quiet upon this earth
Although he himself may from time to time inwardly catch the difference which lies between the more right and purer flash of the inner being and thought-dogmatism, out of inertia he holds to the existing manner of life which stands upon a long-built intellectual materialism
Daily life unfolds in a track-work of thoughts built upon intellectualism
These thought-rails are for many an earthman bound up with the supposition that the hitherto valid, proven certainties will lead him further more or less quietly through his life
To these supposed certainties almost every one of men today generally clings, although nine out of ten of these “certainties” stand upon foundations distorted by the intellect, out of which nothing right can ever arise which is in accord with the Laws of Creation, which the Will of God now brings in an intensified measure as the condition for the further continuance of life upon this earth
Let us but consider how the intellect strives to face all that is coming
Instead of an earnest seeking for the causes of that which unfolds in the fate of man, he strives with all his powers, in intellectual cleverness, to insure himself against the possible hardships which arise
Instead of transforming himself inwardly and laying all the power of his spirit purely into the recognition of the gearing of the Laws of God, he endeavours to devise measures which are to protect him earthly from the reciprocal effects of his past decisions
Instead of receiving his returning threads of fate with an understanding of the great wisdom of the Laws of Creation, which can bring nothing other than that which man sows with his volition into Creation, he strives to resist and to fight for his brief moment of the present, in which he wills to remain further in the quiet sleep of the spirit
Thus it leads to this, that man wills to insure himself in advance against the activity of the animistic servants working in the Laws of Creation
Likewise he also does not trust that when harm is caused him by the human wilfulness of men who are not good, in the possibility of free deciding which still lasts today, that already in that moment the Laws of God prepare for him a compensation in a future time upon the path of his spirit, if he himself remains in the purity of his thoughts and deeds
He, however, holds himself to be harmed and curtailed in his rights, and this leads him to a battle with other men, to a battle which then, in the boiling up of the blood, is often unobjective and unjust
Alas, in such a manner men have lived and mutually entangled themselves in the threads of fate for a long time
Without help from without it is not possible for them to move further on, for their spiritual powers for it have run out and the intellect has cut off the world of men from the help out of the higher spheres of Creation
The Will of God, manifesting itself in the effect of the luminous wall, however, advances swiftly through the universe towards this earth and brings the condition of transformation to absolutely all that exists which is found in gross materiality
Nothing will remain any longer in the setting in which we have hitherto known it
The demand of entering into the stronger vibrations of the Light will compel a rebirth in all that hitherto, in a certain inertia, has been here through the whole time of human history and has thus formed the picture of the earthly world exactly as we perceive it everywhere around us
All that is here will pass through a testing as to whether it stands in the higher degree of the vibrations of the Light, which already now begin to intensify
In these vibrations there comes at the same time already all that is new, which under the helping pressure of the luminous working of the high animistic servants will pervade the planes of matter in order to establish itself as the new manner of the life of men upon earth
It is not easy to describe a happening which is yet only to come and which in its newness will change almost everything upon this earth
The high animistic servants have the direction for the complete recasting of that which man has hitherto wilfully brought about upon earth, when he blasphemously severed himself from the other parts of the great work of Creation
Today we can observe the beginning of these changes, which work gradually so that, however much it may not yet seem so now, nothing of what exists will return to its original shape as it was here recognised by men for thousands of years
That which held decades ago is an irreversible past, just as there will never return the state which held a year ago, a week ago or even only yesterday
Human society upon earth is splintering and falling apart, in order that it may gradually become recast into a new setting which will vibrate wholly in accord with the Will of God, which works beneficently in the whole work of Creation
Many men, and even those who are well-meaning and wish for peacefulness and peace in their life, are today confused by the ferment and the confusion which accompany these changes, in which under the pressure of the Light the intellect must manifest itself as a false leader, so as thereafter to fall and to free the way for a fully spiritual life upon earth
This happening must pass through, and although it shakes much, indeed everything, it is needful to look upon it as a health-restoring and liberating advance towards the victory of the Light upon earth
Although it appears as ever more exacting and many a one would most gladly hide himself from it until all this passes over, the path through it all is in reality above all things simple and uniquely beautiful with the power of an inner conviction in the effects of the Laws of God
Now there needs to be laid by man into everything only the purest volition of the spirit going out of the depth of the inner being of man
Nothing more is needed, although to the intellect it may appear as insufficient
The intellect at once offers its ways of cleverness in the approach to sudden events
In reality this cleverness means the danger of a greater entangling in the threads of fate
A childlike pure volition holding within itself trust in the Light is the only right course in the time of today
If all men did so, then the world could at once change for the better and evil would fall away for ever
Alas, however, too many men have given up their inward liveliness, and these are wholly gripped by the nooses of the intellect, which in them in the end always rise up against God and against the Light
Over these and over their evil wishes the Judgment will very soon be unleashed
Thus in the end there will also come about the fulfilment of all the words of Jesus, just as the Word of Truth brought by the Lord, as the Judge sent out by the Holy God the Father from the heights of the Grail into the worlds of the Subsequent Creation, will be fulfilled to the letter
In all this the childlike pure volition, experienced in all the moments of the day,
will hold with unshakeable certainty as the strongest anchor and at the same time as a channel bringing strengthening and help to every man
This attunement of a childlike pure volition is that which alone will stand in the coming time and will make it possible for man to pass through all that awaits him, no matter what position he occupies today upon earth
In a picture it is thus, that in human society there will come about in all fields a shift forward, and this shift will bring a complete transformation of the approach of men to all activities and ways of dealing in their life, if a genuine pure volition is set in the first place
The shift will come about in this, that under the pressure of the Light there will enter into everything the demand of enlightenment, that is, the recognition of the spiritual task of man, as he was rightly from the very beginning to fulfil it here in relation to the helping animistic and spiritual guidance in the work of Creation
Whoever bears within him that pure volition, he will be helped, his eyes will be opened and he will behold the Truth shining ever more brightly before him
Whoever is not able to bring about this enlightenment in himself, which lies in the awakening of his inner being to the pure bright radiation of the spirit, he will not stand in the prospect of the coming time
However much the intellect may still hold many men in their positions in life, however much their insurances give the possibility of escape from the fulfilment of the reciprocal effects, these effects will nevertheless arrive and with heightened power will strike all that stands wrongly, all that is unhealthy and false
We are heading ever more strongly towards the new world filled with Light, which will arrive, for its coming is given by the command of God, by a power which nothing can resist
The change will come and will interpenetrate everything which man touches with all his faculties and coverings, from the animistic through the soul body to the gross material body
What a great shift is depicted therein, man today can only dimly divine
Even if he strives to think it through with all his powers, he will be mistaken, for he will never see to the end the details which are contained therein and which will unconditionally touch the life of every one of men
He also cannot encompass it because in his thinking and reflecting about the future, whether he wills it or not, he must always proceed for the greatest part from the world of today such as it is
That is the consequence of the thought-grip in which the whole world of today finds itself
We stand, however, before a transformation such as has never been here in the penetrating force with which it will come
Nevertheless men imagine, and even those who today know of God and acknowledge Him as their Creator and Lord, that all that begins to happen in the animistic effect of the fulfilling of the Will of God above them and around them will in the end flow away, and only slightly altered everything will more or less settle back again into its original foundations, similarly as when after the shocks of an earthquake the earth grows quiet again and gives the world back into the hands of men, so that these may tidy and repair their houses again into a shape almost corresponding to the state before the beginning of the shocks
The supposition of the possibility of the continuing endurance of the old world in the shape it has today flows out of the intellect, which is bound to the forms which it recognises and in which it moves
The intellect bound to the earthly world stands like a dam which does not permit a shift from the material habits it has made its own towards new and more living forms which bear within them the manifestation of the trust of the spirit in the guidance out of the Light
Thereby man always remains behind the real happening which unfolds around him and which he is permitted to perceive only faintly with his inner intuitive faculty
It may even be said that although man is in part aware of it, he will not admit it in the intellectual part of his consciousness
The spirit perceives the true essence of all that must change, yet earthly thinking and thereby the whole manner of life still cling to the established forms, from which it has not the power inwardly to loose itself and to step forth with trust to meet the new which the spiritual and the animistic working under a single guidance out of the Light will now bring upon earth
Here there holds the reference to the complete depriving of the freedom of the spirit by the intellect already described above
The intellect, if it has the recognition that in the coming happening it will lose something of its existing riches, at once sets itself subconsciously in refusal towards the new
By riches there is here meant not only something material, but it is the position hitherto gained, the influence among other men and one's own worked-out value through which man measures himself with other men
Even if it should be the unambiguous condition for the continuance of the further being of man, as soon as the intellect arrives at the knowledge that in the new it may lose something of its riches, it will surely set itself in resistance against the new and will stifle still more the weakened spirit in his endeavour to awaken
Whoever is anxious for his fate and strives to work with his intellect instead of working within with his spirit, he will lose everything
The man who has inwardly come to the recognition that, if he is pure, he can never lose anything of his value in the work of Creation of God, stands thus towards the new with open trust
In this direction it is in the highest degree needful to occupy oneself with this, that what must most of all change and be reborn into the new is the inner being of man, which is to grow strong in its purely human approach to everything
The change lies also in that hardest thing which man, and mankind as a whole, needs to overcome
It is the loosing of oneself from the rigidity of the intellect and the laying of oneself wholly into the guiding of one's life by the spirit
And to this degree only a few have as yet ripened
There are only very few such men who are capable of going through life in the full laying of themselves with their spirit into the moment of the present and thereby, in trust in the Justice of God, of loosing themselves from all that is past
With a great number of men the intellect still enters into the path of their spirit, and it brakes, distorts and disintegrates the pure volition of the inner being, which already endeavours in its awakening to move and thus to sense in every moment of the present the great harmony of the work of Creation and to subordinate itself to it
The intellect clings to its supposed riches and to its privileges as ruler and will not let the dominion pass to the spirit even a little
It fights against the spirit with the proven instrument of fear and of anxiety for earthly existence and position always, whenever it recognises that the spirit in its striving for good would wish to lay itself, in trust and in thanks towards God, into the flowing of the Laws of Creation, so that these might bring support to its inner volition in proportion to how pure this volition is and how pervaded by a wisdom of a spiritual kind
Everywhere there, where the spirit already today counsels to let this or that flow, the intellect resists and commands stubbornness or struggle, prompted thereto by the conviction that victory can be gained only by an outward battle with other men, indeed even with the whole world, and thus in such a man the true recognition of the Will of God is lacking
Many men today also wish to fight for the Light and on behalf of the Light
That, however, is a battle which cannot bring victory unless man at the same time bears witness that in his enduring striving there is anchored fully, to the last particle of his inner being, only the Light
And to this state only a few have grown up in the whole history of mankind
The majority of men who are convinced of their mission as envoys of the Light are, alas, only immature dreamers and visionaries, but most often fanatics influenced by vanity and by the intellect
It is precisely the intellect which forces upon man the impression that everything for the Light upon earth must be fought out in the outward world at any cost, in the manner which men, according to themselves, hold to be a right victory
That is, by the complete overpowering of the adversaries and the attaining of their submission
This acknowledgment of victory is the goal according to humanly naive conceptions
Man does not observe that his attention is thereby dragged off to the outward world in a battle for his own conception of how this world is to look, without, however, the Light and Truthfulness at the same time wholly pervading his inner being in the form of a pure accord with the Laws of Creation
Concentrating upon others, upon how to gain the victory over them, men forget themselves
But precisely this will change, for it must change
The Light works by wholly other ways than that which hitherto survives in the rigid conceptions of men
Men do not see the beginnings and the ends of the threads which work for the Light
They cannot see them unless they are wholly graced for it
And for such a grace it is needful to have within oneself precisely a complete, pure and childlike trust of the spirit in the Creator and in His Light
This, however, men do not have within them, however much many assert it of themselves
Therefore they judge the victory of the Light only according to the moment of the present in the given happening upon earth
Thereby, alas, they prove that they lack the true knowledge, which is always at the same time bound up with the recognition of the working of all the effective forces of Creation, and thus also of the animistic and of the spiritual
Such knowledge, however, confirms humility and the accord of the spirit with the working of all the beings and forces serving the Light
Today we find only ways of thinking which have their origin in the old intellectual setting
From knowing, enlightened men, however, there is now expected by the Light a striving heading towards a new manner of setting, in which a pure trust in the Light is the foundation of everything
Men will, through the working of the animistic and of the spiritual servants in the fine surroundings of the earth, be compelled to find this way as the starting point for all their dealing and doing upon earth
That is the new which will come in order to change the world from its foundation
The Light will bring it by its pressure as the fulfilment of the Will of God upon earth
And whoever does not receive it, whoever will not strive with all his powers to recognise it, to grasp it and to receive it, he will be separated and marked as an unusable stone which cannot serve for the new building up of the Kingdom of God here upon earth
But to those who will strive for it with all their powers there will come help, so that their spirit may grow still stronger, become more luminous and become happy in the finding of the greatness and the splendour which is always contained in the connection with the Harmony which penetrates all the planes of the work of Creation from above downward out of the place of the Holy Grail, which in direct connection with the Will of God is found at the very summit of Creation
In the moment when this experiencing comes into his nearness, then only will man recognise what it is, if he has before heard something of this, that the service to God in Creation is for every creature a ground for blessedness
First, however, he will have to lay aside the hitherto manner of thinking, which always, when it is to merge with a higher will, begins to resist and at once to enumerate the reasons why it cannot be done thus
Therefore there must also come first the liberation of the spirit from the influence of the rankly disturbing intellectual cleverness which has strongly settled itself in this world, so as in the end to show itself as a great obstacle to the connection of men with the harmonious vibrations of the whole work of Creation
In order that it may be possible at all to set free those spirits who deserve it, there will therefore come the happening prepared by the animistic servants, which will bring the fall of all that does not vibrate in accord with the Light
And here, however, is the first reef, for this will not be welcomed by men, for they will hold themselves therein to be endangered, although it will be a happening bringing liberation
Men will hold it to be a danger because by the higher guidance of the Light there will be struck, by the most varied ways, all that binds and deprives of freedom the spiritual spark in man and which at the same time the intellect holds to be its most precious spoils
When together with the transformation in the happening all the positions of men begin to totter, which in reality bind them and thus brake them in their spiritual liberation, then the intellect will at once resist, like one who is endangered in his rights and in the posts claimed by himself
It will leap up and will wish to fight with a loud calling of its claim that all the old may continue, which has after all hitherto served the intellect well and given it confirmation of its worth
That will be the confirmation that such a man clings to the earthly through his intellect, and although his inner being longs to be free and trusts the Light, the intellect needs further supports in the outward in order that man may hold himself to be socially of worth
The spirit will already long have called yearningly for the new to come in that liberating connection with the living streaming of the effects of the Laws of Creation, yet the intellect will stand with its lurking warning that man will after all lose thereby and that only a fool would do anything of the kind
And because in this respect the majority of men will let it slip by in the time when the transition would be easy, everything will in the end have to fall, so that some may still be reborn for that new which is to give itself fully into the Will of God
That is precisely the hard, indeed the hardest new thing, when man is to be able to lay aside all that is an obstacle for him to a pure flowing in accord with the Light
He needs to lay aside many wishes which separate him from this accord, and to keep only the pure wishes of his awakened and luminous spirit
Such wishes, forming themselves out of an inward joy and out of the volition of an all-embracing harmony, are never an obstacle to the spirit in its accord with the Will of God
The spirit always needs to wish for something, yet these wishes are to be ennobled in him to the highest measure, to gain from a mature recognition and at the same time to bear within them a clinging to nothing which might perhaps show itself as even the smallest adversity towards the accord and the harmony with the other currents in the entire work of Creation
Men therefore may and are to have their personal wishes
These wishes, however, in order to remain in accord with the Will of God, need always to gush forth only out of the pure childlikeness of the spirit
If this course is fulfilled in the arising of the wishes, then also all the pure personal wishes of man will always contain within them the inspiration of the luminous helpers, and thereby even the most inward wish of man will bear within it, through a pure spiritual foundation, with certainty the connection with the Will of God
This course is something that is for ever anchored in the work of Creation
Only men upon earth have taken the purity from their wishes and, for the fulfilment of material desires, have let themselves be influenced by the intellect with all its cleverness
But all this now ends, for we are at the beginning of the period in which all this will fall
Out of the wrong, overstrained human striving for the mastery of matter there will become ruins
And out of these ruins there will step forth those who still at the last moment awaken in the spirit and lay all their remaining power into their transformation towards the rebirth of the capacity of their pure volition in all that will arise in them through their most inward wishes
There will be able to remain upon earth only that which bears within it the imprint of the purest human volition
All the rest is already today lost in advance
