Today it is not yet possible to show in their entirety all the vistas which in the coming years will arrive in order gradually to become an experienced present in the earthly world

Since on earth we still find ourselves in the voluntarily assumed fetters of mental rigidity, there prevails here for the majority of people a state of incapacity to accept anything that stands even a small degree above the general opinions

To overcome this would require truly great courage and also effort towards a greater liveliness in comprehension

Only few people today are capable of that

Only individual people carry within them the courage and sufficient freedom of mind to extricate themselves from the grip of the thousandfold small and great dogmas which have long been working upon earthly mankind without men themselves observing anything of it

It penetrates into the whole of thinking so strongly that, in the state in which we as earthly mankind find ourselves today entirely outside of accord with the whole work of Creation, true freedom of mind is inadmissible for man

No one is aware of that disintegrating disposition which bears within it in advance mistrust, resistance and also hatred against everything that is by its kind alien to man

And because the majority of the attitudes of men today are formed in opposition to the original development willed by God and therefore right, everything that speaks of this right development necessarily calls forth in them tension and resistance

Alas it must be so, because it is the result of the long-lasting influence of Lucifer, who nourished in men only opposition against everything that comes from Harmony and from the Light

The mental narrowness of comprehension calls forth in men impulses of opposition against everything that appears otherwise than the long-ingrained dogmas declare it to be

Meanwhile the majority of people live in the belief that the way the course of this world is set is a right and natural state

By those who are more lively it is then reckoned that, if something in it needs to be changed, it is a matter only of small trifles in the hitherto disposition of the human course

Otherwise, according to the majority, everything can remain as it is and it will be in order

But when into this conception there arrives a flash of the demand for a much greater change, it almost always calls forth in the majority resistance and opposition

At once there is talk of dreaminess which does not belong to the real life of men

There is talk of a detachment from the daily cares, of which every man has countless

By dreaminess is meant everything spiritual and all else that lies above gross matter

All this is taken as a superstructure with which only those can occupy themselves who have the time and the inclination for it, and for the rest it is the nourishing of fairy-tale conceptions

Especially when there is talk of the animistic servants, who are in all places as a mighty power effecting the fulfilment of the Will of God, many voices are raised that this is fairy-tale telling and that something of the kind is nothing for the highly schooled, that is, supremely science-marked material human world of today

Schooling, or in other words education, however, today means nothing other than an interconnection with everything that others have created and which is not at all man's own, but is merely a borrowed attitude of opinion towards earthly life

If someone then asks these people how they conceive of the arising of the universe, or what gave direction to the development of natural life on earth, confusion and excuses quickly appear, that they themselves do not indeed know sufficient connections about it, but that the scientists appointed precisely for this have either already researched it all or will certainly soon investigate it

They are not aware that thereby they have precisely denied their own ability to recognise the work of Creation, which meanwhile has always slumbered within them

They confirm that they have already weakened this ability so far that, without engaging their own vigilant examination through intuitive perception, they will be those who in superficiality merely take over the opinions of others out of inertia

But as has been shown for a very long time now, apart from exceptions this alas suffices the majority entirely

With a feeling of relief that everything is thereby solved for them, they endeavour to accept the opinions of others as their own and form from that their own attitude to life

Such an attitude, however, has many rents and cannot stand in a serious defence before the Truth

Foolish people

With such an attitude they go through life without so much as stirring in their own abilities of intuitive perceiving, which they have within them as a self-evident gift arising from their spiritual nature

Their own abilities of a perceiving of all things permeated with intuition these people leave aside

If it were so that they one day began seriously to occupy themselves with the essential questions concerning the universe, matter and human life, they would gradually come by a natural path to the recognition of the Creator and also to the recognition of all the connections bound up with the forming of the work of Creation, to which precisely and necessarily belong all the animistic servants, who are inseparably connected with the forming of the planes of the world-parts of the Subsequent Creation, of which this universe here is also a part

Blessed are the courageous human spirits, independent in their freedom, who strive to approach life entirely anew, through a conscious linking with the thought-preforms which now incline towards them as the vividly inspiring, ever more complete knowledge of the magnificent work of Creation

These are the people who long to see through and at last fully to use the abilities that lie in the inner nature of their spirit

For the rest it holds that in the full sense they remain stuck on the spot and are still worthy of being marked with the sign of original sin

Under the pressure of this original sin, which lies in the ponderousness of a rigid material view of life, mankind has become stuck at the very bottom of the narrow abyss of mental limitation

Whenever there is talk of something which requires a greater liveliness and freedom in the mental comprehension of men, this quickly shows the real state within the individual man

This is because for the majority of people it is as yet not easy to step beyond the mental horizon held hitherto without its calling forth incomprehension, disagreement or downright opposition

In the describing of anything that belongs to the future time there will therefore always come a collision with the boundaries of the existing, in reality incredibly poor world of thought which influences the present daily consciousness of mankind

Yes, today's world of thought is unimaginably poor, for it lacks the living spark of the knowledge of the higher spheres of the work of Creation

Only in connection with the higher spheres, be they the planes of the animistic circle of Valhalla or of the spiritual Creation itself, only then can human comprehension be filled completely with thoughts which are formed out of a reception of a higher kind, in which there lies for everyone an undreamt-of refreshment and inexhaustible inspirations

If men today could behold how wretchedly poor they are in this, in a single awakening they would quickly wish to rid themselves of all the trinkets with which over centuries they have hung themselves, in the belief that these lend them lustre and nobility

They would recognise that these are only incredibly contorted mental constructs of the brain, which draw from the already thousandfold-washed sand of ancient knowledge into which they are not capable of rightly penetrating

Hence that barrenness which outwardly is passed off by many as the rediscovery of something valuable, which in reality, however, in its weakening long ago lost its worth

Hence whole multitudes leaf again and again through stacks of books out of which no one is able to gain at last a clear and strong strengthening for life

Hence too the dead cleverness was formed, which is seemingly to change all this

It was assembled by the intellect as the summit of its striving, which is at last to bring the attainment of complete knowledge in everything

And the fixation of billions of people upon it bears witness to how men still would rather accept ready-made opinions than exert themselves in penetrating into the great understanding of the meaning of life

Again there is the endeavour to circumvent one's own exertion in the belief that in dead cleverness lies the ascent of mankind

Again there is the endeavour to form another way rather than to walk along that which has been laid down here from the beginning in wisdom by the Creator

Although it can never be so, it is expected by men that their own conceptions of the future manner of life of men on earth will prevail

There is the endeavour to drive it to the very summit, as far as the intellect can reach with its ability to assemble particulars together

Hence the grotesque fantasy of the intellect in books and in film works at the highest speed

Ever more incongruity is assembled together in the belief that thereby it will be possible to replace the knowledge of ancient generations, which in the soulless mantric repetition of men has already worn itself out and with each day becomes emptier and unusable for one's own life

Thereby men tore themselves away from swinging together with the animistic servants, and the intellect in its rankness of today became entirely incapable of receiving the knowledge of them and of weaving it into the complete picture of the work of Creation, namely that they are the mediators and the fulfillers of God's Laws in everything with which man deals, and before which he must therefore ever again bow in humility

But alas it holds true that it is precisely the man who commands only a very limited and rigid comprehension in his thinking who almost every time considers himself a bearer of great knowledge

And therefore anything else always quickly collides with him at the boundary where there lurks in advance the condemnation of anything that surpasses his own abilities

Thus it holds true that mental limitation is an accompanying phenomenon of the present time

Therefore all the teachings about God, the philosophies, just as the materialism influenced by science, in all of which the knowledge of the weaving and creating of the animistic servants is quite evidently lacking, may be called limited, mentally spent, and thereby unusable for the future time on earth

But many events are already drawing near to these places in the universe, which will gradually shatter the hitherto bounded thinking of the majority of mankind

Despite the state of human thinking described above, the recognition of the future time is to be uncovered slowly in advance, piece by piece, however much this time in its own gross material form will come about only with a delay that will number years, or perhaps even decades

This is done in fulfilment of the words spoken by Parzival:

“Nothing will remain in the form which it has now. To the letter the great Word of God must be fulfilled: Everything shall become new!

But also everything that was to develop here in the world community of Ephesus, for under the influence of earthly mankind there arose out of everything only unhealthy caricatures. Lucifer's influence performed its baleful work here! Earthly men submitted to it far too willingly!”

Well then, everything old is coming to an end

The Ray of Parzival drives the fulfilment of the threads of fate forward in the necessary advance of world events

Now we are part of a time which closes one long developmental section of the earthly world of men

This section appears ever more as a caricature of the original archetype of the human world, which was prepared by the weavers, the Alphar, who at the beginning of the present era of mankind wove in pure archetypes in which countless blessings swung

The blessing of these archetypes was, however, conditional upon the lasting pure volition of men who would strive towards the Light

This did not happen

On the contrary, men submitted far too easily to Lucifer's influence and, enticed by his promptings, set out upon deviating paths which in the end led in opposition only away from the Light

And the effective executor in this was for them their ever more wrongly used brain, which concentrated all power in the direction towards matter, towards the fulfilment of a heavily material form of life

Thereby everything higher and finer in perceiving had to weaken to the degree where the original vistas closed entirely and, as the result which was formed according to the wishes of men, earthly life became merely the survival of the earthly body

The spiritual became for men something additional

This came about in that, through the constant narrowing of receptivity, everything purely spiritual became less and less important for intellectually overstrained thinking, until in its original transparency it vanished entirely from the daily cycle of human experiencing

There came a loss of receptivity for everything finer, which meanwhile in its living essence is more real than anything material

But the intellect turned it around, and for earthly men only that became important which enters the life of man here in matter, instead of the far-reaching perceiving of the complete path of the spiritual inner being

Men gradually forgot entirely that their inner being longs for a home in the irradiated planes of the Light, whither the homogeneity of kind calls it

And that they cannot walk to these heights otherwise than along the paths which for this have been prepared from the beginning by the Wisdom of God

On these paths there is necessarily always to be found the knowledge of the animistic servants, for they are an inseparable part of everything that has arisen in the Subsequent Creation

The animistic servants are for man lasting givers and helpers

Without them the human world would not survive

And yet a great part of mankind knows nothing of them or only very little

Even those who suppose that they know of them, who think of them from time to time and now and then occasionally speak of them with other people, do not suspect that they have so far received only the necessary basic knowledge which they were able to take into their comprehension and thinking

And therefore more knowledge concerning the hitherto unrecognised activity of the animistic servants will gradually be uncovered in ever new connections, so that men may accustom themselves to the preforms of the new manner of thinking which is a condition for the coming time of spiritual enlightenment on earth

The knowledge of the necessary interconnection and of the swinging together of men with these servants which arises from it needs to grow to a higher degree, at which a certain kind of self-evidence only then begins to form

And only self-evidence forms thought-forms strong enough for those to take hold of who otherwise, on their own account, would not be capable of standing at the very initial birth and forming of the preforms

The condition for the new time, however, is the highest degree of a man's own liveliness and readiness in intuitive perceiving

Whoever does not attain this will have to remain in the old world, which under the pressure of the coming changes, however, is drawing near to complete exhaustion and annihilation

Therefore for a long time now, along all the passable ways from the Light, there has been a calling for the highest liveliness and independence in thinking on the part of those who long to advance forward
