Wisdom of Life
I thank the benevolent God and all the good beings who have made it possible for me to share with you a part of my life story. I am now on the other shore, or in the beyond, and much of what I lived through I see quite differently than I did in the times when my foot still wandered upon the earth. The mere sharing of this story with you and the intuitive reliving of the whole of my last earthly life brings me purification and awakening in a flood of tears, like a pure mountain stream. I believe that for you too it will bring a different view of the present world. I shall be grateful if you spread it among yourselves and step by step come upon that which I was permitted to be shown only much later.

I was born as a longed-for child into the family of a teacher in a sun-drenched land in Africa. Our country abounds in great riches, but through their wrong distribution great poverty comes about. Our nation belongs among the peoples in a more childlike stage of their development. It carries much good and sincerity within it, but it has not yet ripened to that level at which it could recognise the intrigues and the manipulation above all of the white men. In our conception these are the symbol of material wealth, but at the same time also of spiritual decline and of great vices. Towards our people they behave for the most part with contempt and without interest. Yet I also know good white men who strove to pass on to me much of their wisdom; these, however, kept no company with that first group of whites. I came to know that among them too there are men of many kinds and that it is not possible to tar them all with the same brush.
From my earliest years, after my father's example, I longed for education, and this I longed to pass on further. Our nation suffered under various dictators who always served the interests of that first group of whites. At first I was angry at these supposed leaders, or else I longed to be like them. To have enough of everything and to decide the fate of all the others. I saw how their functioning at the head of the state likewise had but a short life. An upheaval came, the first dictator was overthrown, and the leader of the uprising stepped into his place. Only on the other shore did I discover a part of the truth about how a good dictator could have led our nation and the individuals within it to true values, and how quickly we, its individual members, could have moved on out of the age of childhood through the corresponding experiencing. Sadly, that was precisely not our case.
No one has any idea where they came from; strange white men began to arrive in the larger towns one after another. They were of yet another type. On the one hand I saw that they had no fair intentions, on the other hand they began to tell us of the prosperity of the whites, of the great sums of money waiting for us to collect them in the land of the whites, and they showed us photographs and videos. In our villages the people coloured their tales many times over, and out of it arose veritable legends about the high sums in cash that a man receives if he travels to a European country. Likewise everyone receives the newest telephone, and a family house will be waiting there for him, with a woman willing to marry him and to care for him. To us in our ignorance those stories sounded like an exciting adventure about a journey to the promised land. Days and nights we dreamed of it, and we pondered on the beauty of that country and on all that awaited us there. Slowly, yet imperceptibly, my thinking about helping the others in our country changed into a dream of a beautiful life in a new, unknown land of the whites. One day, however, the dreaming took on definite contours. Those who presented themselves next week at the place from which the railway leads would be able to travel. I did not hesitate for a moment, and I found myself among many of a fate similar to my own. First came something like a training and a short lecture. I went through hours and days until we found ourselves by the sea. A large fishing boat took us on board, which then left us on a big dinghy and turned about to depart. After that another vessel with white men aboard found us there. They set us ashore on the coast, where humanitarian workers took charge of us. They were kind to us, they gave us food and drink, they provided us with lodging such as we had never had at home. Sadly we behaved badly towards it all and were unable to value it. Moreover we thought that the others were obliged to take care of us, and there was but little that we truly understood. We expected the newest telephones, flats or houses, and a certain income every month. For that, however, we were not willing to give anything except the fact that we existed. But the situation developed in an entirely different direction. More and more kept arriving, and in the comfortable hostel there was no longer any room left for us. Besides, I did not greatly regret it, for the rules that held there were at variance with my nature.
After a few weeks I found myself, together with others, homeless in the street. We were forced to beg and to steal, or else to commit other criminal acts. I saw no other way of coming by a living, or by the alcohol to which I had meanwhile grown accustomed.
Once I found myself in a war of gangs, which did not run its course as usual with sticks and fists, but someone drew a weapon and fired…
I fell to my knees, and before me, like a film, there began to appear pictures from my life in Africa, where I teach the others, found a library, teach them the basic habits of hygiene, and they return my love and care in the most beautiful way that was possible – they teach the same to their family and to those close to them. Thereby they spread this knowledge throughout the whole land, which slowly awakens, and everyone such as I becomes a drop, and out of these drops there comes a stream that makes the parched African desert fruitful. Slowly the first trees and palms begin to grow upon it, giving shelter from the strongly blazing sun.
My last gaze was directed at the European sun, whose rays spoke to me in an entirely different language than that in which the African sun had spoken to me. My body lay in a pool of blood in the land of the Europeans. Full of emotion and of a warming glow, I pictured in my spirit the blessing which my life was to have brought to the people in Africa. Instead of that, enticed by a form that said nothing, I destroyed the life of some of the whites. As I had done to them, so it soon happened to me too, in intensified measure. I held it to be a just requital for my hitherto unfulfilled life.

Perhaps our presence in your European country too is the fulfilment of the threads of fate for the way you stole and robbed the original inhabitants of Africa of their homes, or battened upon the results of their labour. Believe, however, that in these battles there are no victors, but only the vanquished, the blind and the toothless, so long as mankind does not understand the true meaning of the words of the Love of God, but acts according to the old law in the spirit of an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth!
