A Message From Tibet X
THE WAY OF THE GRAIL – SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS – March 30, 2022

For a long time now delicate threads encircling the globe have been sent out from Tibet. They seek brothers and sisters willing to link their striving and their strength for the victory of good. They are like a wanderer who passes through the land and knocks at the doors of the dwellings. One is just then not at home, another does not hear the knocking, and even of those who do hear it not all are willing to open the door to him
The brothers know that the threads are not destined for all, but there are many to whose spirit they speak
Sadly the ills of this time have bitten deep into the inner being of men, and many of them are no longer able, nor even willing, to listen to the voices of the messengers. One has become entangled in work and in a multitude of pleasures and distractions, another has fastened himself to various spiritual movements, to a third the path of Truth seemed very plain and simple and he began to seek something more interesting. There are also those who open the door to them and would gladly try whether this might not after all be the right path. Soon, however, they abandon them and do not anchor them, for something new, until then unknown, has knocked at their door. They open to that also and tell themselves that the threads were surely not the true ones, because they felt nothing. There are also many whom such strong forms of fear have mastered that they are no longer able to make almost any free and independent movement. Outwardly they seem very brisk, but sadly the so necessary exertion of the spirit is recast into an increased exertion of the activity of brain and body
Now the highest lama steps up to us, who thanks the Most High for the grace of being permitted to share with us that splendour which fills his spirit. Not everything that he will be permitted to pass on to us will be only beautiful. Part of it bears within itself a bitter and acrid aftertaste, intended for instruction and for the changing of the little paths and ways trodden hitherto

The lama wishes to share with us the splendour which he experiences together with the brothers in the temple, and the experiencing of the splendour of the streams which touch this earth and seek a connection through men. With the severity of the time and the drawing near of the cleansing happening their intensity increases. They bear within themselves the promise of a new age, of a more beautiful and more joyful future and of a spiritual mankind. Before that there will still have to come a great cleansing from all that will vibrate otherwise than will be required of mankind from the heights. All this began long ago, but now it culminates in the sorting out and in the showing of actual attitudes and characters. Surely it has happened to you too that someone became inwardly close to you whom until then you had not noticed at all. Only later did you discover how much you had to say to one another, and you found a common accord. Conversely, he became inwardly distant to you whom you yourselves had previously considered very close. Now, although you are still fond of him, you no longer feel that mutual harmony. It is not because you would be evil, but because a change has come about in your radiation, or in the radiation of the other. It is also possible that the differences in the radiations were not so great until now and only strengthened in the course of time. Time alone will show the abyss that lies between you. Sometimes it can be bridged, at other times it is impossible without a marked change of inner attitude and of opinions. In this situation observe well the working of the attraction of homogeneity, down to the very smallest details. Learn, perfect your knowledge and at the same time recognise the depth of the Laws of God and their justice
More and more, and far more swiftly, everything will unravel and things will show themselves in their true light. That which was hidden until now will raise its head, but now it will become visible in the highest degree. Do not you, however, be afraid, but see in it the working of the Almighty, who guides everything to a prosperous end. Nor forget the old wise counsels and admonitions of the prophets, in which you will find great reinforcement for your activity
There is one important thing which takes the wind out of many a sail and separates them from the luminous threads and from true service. Fear for one's own health and life. Of late it has intensified to extraordinary dimensions and the greatest manifestations of it still await you. From what does this fear spring? Men have fastened themselves with all their strength to their life and are afraid that nothing follows after it
Here too the lama brings appeasement and explanation. This life is the result of previous lives, and we form our future through our present, through the past we have lived, and this future is the result of our own decisions. Likewise our present too is the work of the past. But the past was once also a present, and that is why it is itself so important. It is not the goal of human life to stay upon earth for as long a time as possible, but to decide rightly and to direct the helm of life towards the spiritual home from which man came forth, and to return there as well. What will it help a man to live half a century longer if after his departure from this world he comes to be worlds lower than if he had left the earth earlier? This wrong attitude is a sign that all volition and all action is fixed only upon the coarsest matter and lacks any reaching out into the surrounding finer world which encircles every one of us. This knowledge alone ought fundamentally to change man's view of so many of the problems he has had hitherto
The worst thing for a man comes about if for some reason he loses the gift of free will and lets himself be ruled by fear. Then he ceases to be a real subject and an independent personality, but becomes a toy in the hands of someone else – of the darkness. That, however, does not wish the highest good of the one it rules, but leads him in directions that suit alien interests. Even though a man were to live under the greatest yoke, the greatest trick of the opposing side lies precisely in this, that it has managed to persuade him and he believes in how free he is. Try to compare the freedom you experience with our freedom in the monastery, when at prayer, as well as at work in the garden, we experience accord with the whole of our surroundings and with the worlds that encircle us. Are the others perhaps afraid of our discipline, of the early rising, of the division of the day, of the daily work, and of what from their point of view is a senseless praying and invoking of the Most High? Let everyone reflect upon what he will one day carry with him to the other shore. Neither possessions nor the other enjoyments of this earth count. Upon the earth there will remain behind us even our clothes, our eating bowl, as well as other objects of personal use. If the others knew our life here in the monastery, they would find that it leads towards the greatest blessedness that is prepared for the human spirit upon earth. That is why with such joy we ask for the luminous threads and call to everyone who is able to take hold of them
Let us try to sense intuitively the finer world which encircles us. What do we ponder upon during the day, and to what do we give energy through our thinking and thereby bring it to life? Let us not think that we shall achieve a positive change through mental concentration alone, for we would be deceiving ourselves. If we begin consciously to control our thoughts and to force them to walk in certain directions, we shall achieve nothing with this convulsive effort. Let us seek more deeply in the purity of our own spirit. There we shall know that lightness, and the sound of the longing for the spiritual home will ring out in us. The spirit itself, through its own purity, is able naturally to bring about the purity of thoughts without any need for self-mastery and convulsive thinking
Have we not forgotten, in the bustle of ordinary important life, the great gift of living in the present, which is granted to us day after day and at every moment? It is precisely in the present that the greatest working for the human spirit lies. For the past together with the present contributes to our future, which in reality does not exist, because we shall live it as a future present. That is that immense power, the knowledge of which the human spirit has not yet properly attained. We too in the monastery discover that power and rejoice in the new prospects and deepenings which it brings us. When one man discovers something, he treads out the path for the others, and their path becomes easier and simpler. So it is not only with this, but in everything a man undertakes
Let us have no fear of what will come, or of what is to come. As long as we truly live in the present, nothing will surprise us, except perhaps that power which we passed by and until then did not notice. It will give us the strength to overcome the hardest thing and, in opening ourselves to the finer worlds, to accomplish and to master everything
Accept as a gift from me and from the brothers the possibility of a common joining to the luminous threads every evening at nine o'clock. At that time our prayers will be directed especially towards all those who seek out the luminous threads and long for them. The spiritual gates of our monastery will be open to you, behind which it will be made possible for you to draw from the exceedingly rich spiritual gifts, just as it is made possible for our brothers also. I thank the Most High for this gift, that we shall all be permitted to share in the forming of a great spiritual family
May the power of good and the longing for the spiritual home accompany us all. Let us all so act that one day the gates of our home in the spirit may be permitted to open to us, as the gates of our monastery are now opening for all who long for them
